PART 3:  LEARNING, THINKING, AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Picture

The overarching objective of my critical thinking humanities program is to develop students’ ability to learn.  My course helps students to build a foundation and framework that supports all future learning.  Students receive thorough instruction in the key processes of intellectual inquiry and critical thinking, as well as in the fundamental tools of reading, writing, and discussion skills.

The writings below will explain why I place such great importance on the development of these core skills and the methods and tools I use to accomplish my objectives.

A. Learning How to Learn
B. Critical Thinking Skill Development
C. Discussion Skills
D. Reading Skills
E. Writing Skills
